Within our Group Purchasing Organization, the Category Specialist will directly report to Global Product Line Purchasing Director. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Global Product Line in the development & execution of the category strategy, based around the Value Based Sourcing approach with deep and early engagement with suppliers, R&D and other cross functional stakeholders. You will also be responsible for coordinating & reporting key team initiatives. Tasks: - Responsible for leading the development and execution of a category strategy that drives supply and price risk mitigation as well as continuous improvement in terms of cost, working capital, quality, supply & innovation across all of our group Food Preparation Product Line operations. - Drive continuous improvement project/negotiation pipeline development, annual budget setting, 5 year strategic planning, etc. and execute accordingly. - Analyze big data, identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations, lead projects to implementation and track results - Lead team coordination & reporting initiatives including supplier consolidation, payment terms improvement, cost modeling development, sustainability improvement activities, long term agreement development, raw material tracking, annual budget planning & execution, supplier development projects, supplier relationship management activities, etc. Qualifications: - University degree (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or Economics background is an asset) - 1-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing in a multinational environment - Must be detail oriented, analytical, organized, objective and able to prioritize - Able to analyze a massive amount of data, identify relevant information or trends within the data, develop conclusions that could lead to improved business decisions and organize the relevant data in a way that is easy for the customer to understand and utilize - Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Required languages: Fluent English written and spoken - Good experience with Excel and Power point At Electrolux, we take responsibility for our development in a supportive environment where we embrace our differences and learn from each other.
