About the Position We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the Body and Zonal Engineering Product Line team. This position is based at our office in Corbetta (or eventually Torino).
As the TPM at Marelli, you will
Be responsible for the Engineering Development (except the SW area when a Software Project Manager is appointed) for platform developments.
Lead and coordinate the engineering activities of the assigned project(s) based on the product, ensuring delivery, quality and cost targets are met.
Report directly to the Head of the Body and Zonal Engineering Product Line.
Contribute to the early definition of the product during the Offer Phase.
Be responsible for RFIs/RFQs that are based on platform developments.
Your Responsibilities will Be
Manage projects with top‑down oversight throughout execution to ensure success defined by adherence to scope, budget and timeline standards.
Create and track the Project Master Time Plan in collaboration with the SPM, respecting platform requirements and company goals, and coordinate managers and technical personnel during all project phases.
Monitor project progress continuously and provide detailed scheduled reports on measurable items such as milestones and deliverables; coordinate and update the estimation of engineering effort.
Support the SPM in aligning budget and resource needs, and manage product development risks.
Ensure the delivery of MVPs, POCs and platforms according to agreed time plans with Product Management and Top Management.
Prepare and communicate weekly status reports to top management.
Participate in benchmark analysis activities and transfer best design practices to the internal team.
Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to encourage solutions, identify problems, and implement efficiency improvements.
Check and update the reuse of standard components and solution availability.
Review proposed modifications to project plans, approving and implementing beneficial changes.
Propose change requests concerning product engineering, technical, cost and scheduling impacts towards Product Management.
Lead the innovation process, securing deliverables on time.
Agree with Product Evaluation on verification and validation activities, ensuring mature platform developments.
Ensure the best price BOM approach using internal tools and best practice.
Oversee resource situation and provide related reports to EPL.
Estimate system performance using suitable models, defining the optimal hardware resources budget.
What Qualifications You Will Bring
Electronic Engineering Degree or Information Science Degree.
3-5 years of experience in technical project management within the automotive field.
Willingness to travel to customers, suppliers and Marelli locations involved.
