You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. /ppWe are growing rapidly in existing regions as well as expanding into new regions. /ph3Key job responsibilities /h3pAs a member of this team, you will work with regional AWS leadership to : /pulliServe as a key business partner working directly with regional AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations /liliReport weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics /liliManage the financial planning process. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions /liliBe an integral member in the monthly financial close process and perform ad‑hoc projects and analysis as needed /liliAnalyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives /liliMonitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast‑growing, global AWS business /liliPreparing detailed financial models for business segments, drive business initiatives, and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficiencies /li /ulh3Basic Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent /liliExperience in tax, finance or a related analytical field /liliExperience in accounts receivable or account payable /liliExperience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses /liliExperience in financial modeling, PL management or analysis /liliExperience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis /liliExperience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes /liliExperience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliMBA, or CPA /liliExperience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results /liliExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples : SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples : Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) /liliExperience with VBA, Python, SQL, or other database language /li /ulpAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
