In order to strengthen our RD&E team, we are seeking a

* Laboratory Benchmarking and material Specialist.

The position consists of analyzing the materials of Dayco products from : R&D development phase, quality department, customer testing, internal testing and warranty.

Typical responsibilities under the supervision of lab coordinator include :

* conducting and supporting scientific investigations and experiments;
* execution of BM activities of mechanical and electrical products used in automotive field;
* planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials;
* recording and analyzing data;
* demonstrating procedures;
* execution of failure analysis on plastic, metallic components;
* collecting, preparing and / or testing samples;
* maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing the equipment;
* providing technical support;
* presenting results to senior staff;
* writing reports, reviews and summaries;
* keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments;
* ordering and maintaining stock and resources;
* availability to travel to all Dayco plants to support quality process audits;
* Requisiti
* Essential Qualifications and experience
* Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in similar tasks, and in structured companies;
* Master’s degree in Chemical Science / Material Engineering or similar training;
* Good knowledge of all material lab activities (cutting, mounting, polishing, material etching for metallographic analysis etc.);
* Good knowledge ad use of all material instruments (optical spectrometer, hardness testing machines, stereo and metallographic microscopes, SEM / EDS microscopes, climatic chambers, Salt Spray chambers, Rheometers, DSC,FTIR,TGA);
* Good knowledge of statistical analysis of data in laboratory;
* Fluent spoken and written English;
* Teamworking;
* Accuracy in performing tasks;
* Problem solving attitude;
* Stress resistance;
* Proactivity.
