This role involves ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to various projects from inception through to completion. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3Design Development /h3 ul liLead or support the design and specification of new or upgraded electrical systems, ensuring reliability and safety compliance. /li liCollaborate with engineering and project teams to integrate reliability principles into new assets and retrofits. /li liEvaluate and recommend technologies that improve electrical performance and reduce lifecycle costs. /li liContribute to the standardisation of electrical designs and components to streamline maintenance and spare‑parts management. /li liEnsure all designs meet applicable Italian and international electrical codes and internal engineering standards. /li liSupport the development of technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and system specifications. /li /ul h3Project Management and Implementation /h3 ul liManage and oversee electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. /li liCoordinate with other internal departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. /li liPerform site inspections and supervise the installation and testing of electrical systems. /li liManage contacts and coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance activities with electrical suppliers. /li /ul h3Testing and Troubleshooting /h3 ul liConduct tests and inspections to ensure the functionality and safety of electrical systems. /li liCommission electrical systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing. /li liDevelop and implement maintenance and testing procedures. /li liAnalyse test results to detect anomalies, degradation, or early signs of failure, and recommend corrective actions. /li liLead troubleshooting efforts for complex electrical issues, coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution and minimal operational disruption. /li liUtilise advanced testing tools and techniques such as insulation resistance testing, thermographic imaging, and power quality analysis. /li liDocument findings, root causes, and repair actions to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the fleet. /li /ul h3Compliance and Documentation /h3 ul liEnsure all electrical systems and maintenance activities comply with relevant Italian and EU regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. /li liMaintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation, including inspection reports, test results, maintenance records, and engineering drawings. /li liSupport audits and regulatory inspections by providing required technical documentation and evidence of compliance. /li liDevelop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and reliability guidelines to reflect best practices and regulatory changes. /li liPromote a culture of compliance and accountability across the fleet by reinforcing adherence to safety and quality standards. /li liManage the institutional relationship with the DSOs, the TSO (Terna) and the electrical regulator (ARERA). /li /ul h3Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liIdentify and implement opportunities to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and maintainability of electrical systems across the fleet. /li liAnalyse failure data, maintenance trends, and performance metrics to drive data‑informed improvements. /li liLead or participate in cross‑functional initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, optimising maintenance strategies, and extending asset life. /li liPromote a culture of continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned, best practices, and innovative solutions with engineering and maintenance teams. /li liSupport the integration of new technologies and digital tools that enhance predictive maintenance and system diagnostics. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field. /li liBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
