About the Role
As an Environment, Health & Safety Specialist (ASPP) you will support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Health and Safety Management System (SGSSL). You will work with the RSPP, the Employer, the Health and Safety Manager, the Competent Doctor and HR to identify and assess workplace risks, define preventive measures and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. You will also contribute to safety training, incident analysis and workplace inspections to strengthen a safe and compliant working environment.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be based at our Monfalcone facility in Italy. On‑site work is required.
Key ResponsibilitiesRisk Identification and Assessment – collaborate with RSPP and H&S leadership to identify, evaluate and monitor physical, chemical, psychological and biomechanical risks and define preventive measures.
Legislative Compliance and Certification Maintenance – verify compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain safety certifications through regulatory bodies, suppliers and consultants.
Implementation of Corporate Safety Programs – apply and maintain corporate safety initiatives aligned with Westinghouse safety standards.
Training and Worker Information – define training requirements and coordinate with operational departments to ensure ongoing safety training for workers.
Health and Safety Data Analysis – collaborate with the Competent Doctor and HR on health surveillance, collect and analyze data on incidents, injuries and near misses to propose corrective actions.
Workplace Surveillance and Inspections – conduct targeted inspections, report non‑conformities and propose corrective actions.
Safety Communication – support the RSPP in developing and maintaining visual communication materials related to health and safety.QualificationsMinimum legal requirements: high school diploma and completion of mandatory ASPP training courses (Module A – introductory safety training; Module B – technical risk‑specific training).
Considered for education: bachelor’s degree in one of the following engineering disciplines:L7 Civil and Environmental Engineering
L8 Information Engineering (electronics, automation, telecommunications)
L9 Industrial Engineering (mechanical, energy, materials)
L17 Architecture Sciences
L23 Building Engineering / Construction Technologies0 to 3+ years experience.
ISO 45001 certified – required.
Knowledge of workplace risk assessment methodologies.
Familiarity with health and safety management systems (SGSSL) and applicable regulatory frameworks.
