Country Financial Controller
Our Client
Our client is a medium-sized subsidiary, based in Rho, Italy, of a large multinational group headquartered in Switzerland. Responsibilities
* Supervise Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Lerdger Accounting
* Oversee customer billing in collaboration with the internal sales team
* Manage monthly IAS closures and annual financial statements for group consolidation
* Conduct quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and monthly intercompany reconciliations
* Ensure compliance with VAT and fiscal regulations in Italy and Switzerland
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax obligations with external consultants
* Support the Transfer Pricing consultant in preparing documentation
* Liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance
* Supervise payroll processing with support from an external provider
* Act as the Local HR Operations Manager, ensuring compliance with labor laws
* Serve as the Local Privacy Coordinator for data protection compliance
* Lead and develop a small team of three finance professionals
* Drive internal process improvements and ensure ESG reporting compliance
Your Profile
* 10+ years of experience in a similar role within a small to medium-sized company, preferably a part of a big group
* Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP, IFRS, and IAS regulations
* Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and intercompany reconciliations
* Knowledge of Italian labor law and Payroll Management
* Familiar with local and international taxation frameworks, including VAT
* Proficient in Excel and SAP S/4HANA, knowledge of other accounting and reporting tools are an avantage
* Proven team management skills with the ability to lead and develop a small team
* Empathetic and diplomatic approach, able to build consensus and drive ideas forward smoothly
* Business-Fluency in English. Good knowledge of German or French would be an advantage
