Title: Project Controller
Location: Milan, Italy
Who are we recruiting for:
Our client is a fast-growing EPC contractor and developer operating in the solar PV and renewable energy sector, delivering large-scale projects across development, engineering, procurement, and construction.
With a strong pipeline of utility-scale solar projects across Italy and Europe, the business is playing a key role in the energy transition, combining technical excellence with a highly execution-driven model.
As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a Document Controller to support project delivery teams by managing all project documentation processes across multiple solar PV developments.
What will you be doing:
* Monitor and control project performance across multiple solar PV projects, ensuring delivery in line with budget, timeline, and quality targets
* Track project costs, CAPEX, and cash flow, identifying variances and supporting corrective actions
* Support project managers with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning throughout the project lifecycle
* Prepare regular project reports including progress, cost analysis, risks, and key performance indicators
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams to ensure alignment on project data and performance
* Support contract management and change order processes, assessing financial and schedule impacts
* Maintain project control tools and systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
* Identify risks and opportunities, supporting mitigation strategies and decision-making processes
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures, contractual requirements, and reporting standards
* Support project close-out activities including final cost reconciliation and performance analysis
Are you the ideal candidate?
* Previous experience as a Project Controller, Cost Controller, or similar role within EPC, construction, or renewable energy projects
* Strong understanding of project finance, cost control, and budgeting processes
* Experience in solar PV, infrastructure, or energy projects is highly desirable
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with project control tools (e.g. SAP, Primavera, Power BI)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
* Fluent in Italian and English
