The projects could deliver more than 5.5GW of offshore wind capacity and are scheduled to be complete by the end of the decade, subject to securing consent and commercial arrangements. The partnership between the two companies is based on Renantis’ in-depth knowledge of the Italian industry and energy sector, combined with BlueFloat Energy’s technical expertise in floating offshore wind. Renantis and BlueFloat Energy recognize the strong potential of floating offshore wind technology in Italy for the renewable energy production, which will significantly contribute to the country's energy transition and autonomy, while fully respecting ecosystems.We are currently looking for an Interface & Risk Manager that will be part of the development and execution team of the Italian offshore wind projects led by the Partnership.As Interface & Risk Manager you will report directly to the Head of PMO and be responsible for managing the technical interfaces between work packages as well as the coordination between internal team members and contractors and consultancies involved in the project, identifying, managing and mitigating risk across the Italian offshore projects, implementing the risk and opportunity management process and the continuous development of processes put in place.The Interface & Risk Manager will be a highly experienced offshore wind or O&G engineer with the ability to engage with and influence multiple competing stakeholders.This is a full time permanent role based in Italy (Rome or Milan).Job Description:Main responsibilitiesInterface:Establish the Interface Management plans, processes and tools, including register and reporting.Manage internal and external sources of information & technical interfaces.Define clear roles, limits and scope of work matrices for all Contractors to limit conflicts.Supporting the development and implementation of engineering solutions for interface conflictsFacilitate and coordinate interface meetings both internally and externally.Actively engaging with supply chain and giving technical support to procurement department, as required.Support the commercial team to ensure clarity on interfaces between the contracts.Support the scheduler in the alignment of contractor interfaces in the schedule.Supervising and managing the engineering framework contracts ensuring optimal technical consistence between the technical work packages and that they are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.Maintaining an effective and systematic coordination of offshore work packages ensuring their technical consistency and quality and safety aspects, producing all reports as necessary during the project.Promoting and working within the project management, health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures and actively managing safety and personal welfare throughout the term of the project.Risk:Create project risk strategies, prepare and implement a risk management plan as well as drive risk management in compliance with project policies.Manage the processes of risk management: planning and identifying risks, performing qualitative as well as quantitative analyses, planning risk responses, monitoring, and controlling risks. Implement risk workshops with project teams, suppliers, and internal interfaces within the respective projects.Prepare risk reports and analyses to support management in decision making. Continue to develop and maintain a project risk register as well as response plan templates and other documentation, together with the wider project team. Train risk owners in risk management and proactively work in the project teams to develop risk mitigation actions.Identify best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and templates. Undertake risk modelling to provide CAPEX, OPEX price structures. Determining the project budget contingency using appropriate quantitative methods as well as monitoring and, in conjunction with the commercial team, controlling the project contingency.Communicate the risk strategy within the projects and organisation.Collaborate closely with planning, cost and change control functions.Requirements:Degree or above in an Engineering or Business-related area.Experience and competence equivalent to PMI RMP (PMI Risk Management Professional).Strong relevant industry experience in the risk function and associated processes, in offshore O&G or wind.Track record creating and developing risk strategies within the energy sector and large scale projects, preferably within offshore sector.Proven experience in applying qualitative and quantitative analysis on large scale projects.Management ability and the capacity to communicate across all levels of a complex organization.Ability to interact with suppliers.Extensive experience with Montecarlo simulations and use of risk modelling tools such as Riskonnect, Predict! and Safran.Highly competent with MS office tools.Chartered Engineer and Membership of professional body (preferred).Good understanding of Italian Health&Safety legislation applicable to the offshore wind industry is a plus.Experience in a supply chain environment (preferred).Location:RomaTime Type:Full timeWorker Subtype:RegularSummaryLocation: Roma; Milano - MartesanaType: Full time
