Job Summary
The buyer is located in the Fulfilment Centers (FC) and serves as the Procurement Representative to the FC. The Buyer ensures that the FC requirements are captured and shared with the Category Teams. She/he acts as the first escalation point for local supplier issues and ensures that local stakeholders are trained on Procurement tools. The Buyer collaborates with the store coordinator to manage shipping supplies and meet the local needs of the FC.
Responsibilities
* Comply with company Spending and Transaction policy, promoting correct behaviors among business stakeholders.
* Build effective relationships with local stakeholders, ensuring high service levels in quotations and lead-times for local projects.
* Manage relationships with internal customers, influencing spending decisions and analyzing requirements.
* Manage vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance.
* Ensure the availability of goods and services in a timely manner.
* Support the implementation of Catalogues and promote higher spend penetration through Catalogs.
* Ensure flawless procurement procedures on site and provide training on policies and processes.
* Coordinate with local Store Coordinators.
* Identify savings opportunities and collaborate with Category Managers on tenders, negotiations, and contract renewals.
* Support negotiations, contract implementation, and maintenance, including supplier performance metrics.
* Execute and support procurement projects and initiatives at local and EU levels, liaising with the Shared Procurement Center.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years' professional experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts Management, or an equivalent role.
* Sourcing and/or purchasing competencies.
