The challenge
At Haier Europe, we are seeking an experienced and vigilant cybersecurity specialist who can proactively partner with key stakeholders to design and implement a framework that protects our company and product range. As the Cybersecurity Specialist, you will support the business in protecting digital assets, ensuring data confidentiality for internal users and external consumers, complying with cybersecurity regulations, and building a robust security infrastructure in line with local legislation to prevent potential threats.
What You Will Do
Activities and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate in the development and implementation of the company’s information security strategy.
* Lead daily monitoring for unusual activities, implement defensive protocols, and report incidents.
* Maintain documentation of security guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls.
* Identify and mitigate security risks to ensure resilience against emerging threats.
* Collaborate with other teams to improve compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Support security audits, compliance assessments, incident response, and investigation of security breaches.
* Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into IT and business operations.
* Maintain a security program including cyber defense, data protection, and security operations.
* Support risk assessments, vulnerability identification, and remediation prioritization.
* Oversee security incident detection, response, and recovery.
* Manage security architecture, tools, and technologies deployed across the organization.
* Monitor security metrics and report on security posture to leadership.
* Support security awareness training programs for employees.
* Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices.
What You Need To Succeed
Required skills and qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in information systems, IT, or related field.
* At least five years of cybersecurity experience in a midsize or large company in our industry.
* Knowledge of security principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and risk management.
* Experience with security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation.
* Proficiency with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection, SIEMs, and encryption protocols.
* Critical thinking, problem-solving, and forensics skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, legal, and compliance teams.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
* Experience with regulatory compliance and data privacy laws.
