Overview
The Manager Software Engineering is responsible for developing and leading technical teams to deliver quality products on time. This role collaborates with other technical leaders to ensure a cohesive product suite.
The salary range is 217,780 – 304,900 PLN annually. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
Ensure timely, high‑quality results; collaborate with stakeholders and align the team to the prioritized backlog; define user stories.
Align with product vision through frequent communication with technical leadership and product owner; establish team organization.
Lead the team to adhere to and consistently implement the software development lifecycle; identify and communicate potential roadblocks.
Provide technical guidance and hands‑on assistance, promote a culture of security, quality, and engineering agility; remove barriers.
Execute department processes and standards, continuously improve processes, and motivate change.
Contribute to and manage the approved budget; assess team performance against metrics; hold direct reports accountable and provide feedback.
Perform all managerial functions: hiring, compensation management, employment relations, and termination.
Develop team members; coach employees for growth; identify and develop future leaders.
Serve as an escalation point for issues, provide guidance, resolve issues, and remove obstacles.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Relevant software industry experience.
Demonstrated technical skills to manage technical teams.
Experience with Agile or willingness to learn and follow Agile Scrum or other appropriate principles.
Demonstrated fiscal responsibility/accountability in managing budgets.
Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Operating systems, Outlook, CI/CD principles, and data analytics.
Ability to coach, mentor, and provide timely feedback.
On‑call/after‑hours escalation may be required; up to 5% travel time required.
