HCLTech is looking for a Senior System Engineer / Platform Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building and operating resilient, scalable, and high-performance platforms. This role involves working in large-scale enterprise and telco-grade environments where reliability, integration, and operational stability are critical.
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on professional with a strong system-oriented mindset who can take complex solutions and bring them successfully into production across virtualized and containerized environments. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical depth, ownership, and the ability to operate in structured and mission-critical setups.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and deploy applications and infrastructure into production environments
* Operate and maintain Enterprise Linux systems and Kubernetes-based platforms (on-premises and cloud)
* Integrate systems across OS, middleware, networking, and storage components
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues end-to-end
* Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams
Additional Contributions
* Support product and platform deployments
* Implement system hardening and security best practices
* Drive performance tuning and capacity optimization
* Improve automation and operational efficiency
* Manage production and lab environments
* Promote reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with Enterprise Linux environments
* Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration
* Knowledge of virtualization, cloud platforms, and infrastructure integration
* Proven ability in troubleshooting complex distributed systems
* Experience in automation, scripting, and performance tuning
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
