Overview Contract Manager role at Data4. Within the Construction Department and reporting to the Head of Construction, the Contract Manager plays a key role in supporting project teams in the management of major construction contracts related to the development of Data4 data centers across Europe. Responsibilities Define and maintain standard procedures and best practices for contract management within the Construction Department. Ensure contract compliance and alignment with Data4’s internal processes and stakeholder expectations. Promote a culture of contractual discipline and risk awareness among construction teams. Support Project Managers during contract drafting, execution, and negotiation phases in coordination with Legal and Procurement teams. Assist in reviewing key contractual documents such as EPC, GC, and subcontractor agreements. Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure accurate tracking and execution. Identify, assess, and help mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle. Manage claims and variation orders in collaboration with relevant departments. Assist in resolving disputes in line with contractual obligations and legal advice. Foster continuous improvement of contract management tools, templates, and workflows. Organize training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen contract management capabilities within the project teams. Provide clear and regular reporting to the Head of Construction and Legal Department regarding contract status, risks, and key issues. Ensure proper documentation and archiving of contractual communications and amendments. Profile / Qualifications Master’s degree in Law, Engineering, or Business Administration (or equivalent). 7–10 years of contract management experience in construction / infrastructure, ideally in international settings. Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or similar contracts; multidisciplinary and matrix team experience preferred. Strong knowledge of contract law, construction regulations, and negotiation practices. Fluent in English; French is a plus. Skilled in MS Office; experience with tools like Aconex or Procore is an advantage. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, adaptable under pressure, with a collaborative and solution-driven mindset. Location The position can be based either in Marcoussis, France or Cornaredo, Italy or Alcobendas, Spain.
