Job summary/Role description
The Trade Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all project activities involving the export, re-export, transfer, and brokering of goods, software, and technology comply with applicable export control and sanctions regulations.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Throughout the lifecycle of the project, the Trade Compliance Officer will:
* Assess risks and vulnerabilities associated with project activities related to export, re-export, transfer, and brokering of goods, software, and technology.
* Liaise with project functions (including procurement, logistics, engineering, project control, and finance) on all matters relating to Trade Compliance.
* Screen products to identify dual-use items and restricted goods that require prior export authorization.
* Prepare export authorization applications when needed.
* Ensure the accurate and efficient filing of Trade Compliance documentation.
* Prepare periodic reports on Trade Compliance activities and related matters.
Personal Attributes
* Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
* Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
* Technical skills are preferred.
