PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Within CHASSIS Purchasing team, the resource will be responsible for managing a complete product line in terms of both operative and strategical tasks.
This includes:
* Suppliers selection and sourcing for assigned commodities. This includes RFQ activity, analysis of supplier responses and quotes and placing blanket purchase orders;
* Leading and facilitation of pricing negotiations
* Develop / implement supply base management strategies both regionally and globally that lead to lowest total cost in terms of quality, lead time, delivery, and pricing;
* Support cost savings initiatives for commodity base;
* Support and resolve supplier issues such as accounts payable resolution, past due deliveries, and risks related to production lines and aftermarket customers.
* Support negotiation of basic contracts (GT&C, Supply Agreements, Development Agreements)
* Support Material Expediting for short term delivery issue and Capacity Management for mid/long term capacity issue
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred) or Economics degree or similar degree
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate as an effective team member
* Good communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in engineering, operations, sales, supply chain
* Proven track record of effective Purchasing management in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with program and project management
* Demonstrated leadership skills with good ability to influence
* Result driven and action oriented
* Confidence and ability to interface with senior stakeholders, internally and externally
* Fluent in English, any other language is an asset
