Sportech Academy is an international summer program that blends sports, arts, food, and technology, offering young participants an immersive learning experience in the heart of Milan. Our programs attract students from all over the world, creating a vibrant, multicultural environment.
Our summer programs include:
- Football with AC Milan, featuring professional training at AC Milan’s official facilities.
- Tennis, in Garda Lake, beautiful views.
- Fashion, in partnership with Raffles Milano – International Design Institute, where students explore styling, tailoring, and editorial design.
- Design, also in collaboration with Raffles Milano, offering courses in interior and product design.
- Food, in partnership with Congusto Institute, where students engage in hands-on Italian cooking and pastry experiences.
- Medicine, in partnership with UniSR, where students explore specialities, Simulation Labs and medical immersion.
- Race Car Engineering, in partnership with Dallara Academy, located in Parma, Italy.
- Opera, in partnership with Teatro alla Scala, Piccolo Teatro and Teatro Arcimboldi.
- Academics Program: Pre A-levels and Pre Diploma (Rimini, Italy).
Job Overview
We are seeking young, energetic, and responsible House Parents to join our residential summer programs. This role is ideal for college students or recent graduates who enjoy working with youth in a dynamic and supportive environment. The House Parent will play a key role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and daily supervision of students aged 8-18 throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral care, guidance, and supervision to a group of students residing in Sportech Academy’s accommodation.
- Ensure students' well-being, safety, and adherence to program rules at all times.
- Facilitate a positive and inclusive environment, fostering friendships and teamwork among students.
- Support students with daily routines, including meal times, bedtime, and excursions.
- Assist with logistics, excursions, and evening activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for students, offering emotional support and problem-solving assistance.
- Monitor and report any safety, disciplinary, or health-related concerns to program staff.
- Uphold Sportech Academy’s standards, policies, and code of conduct.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Fluent in English (additional languages, especially Italian, are a plus).
- Energetic, approachable, and responsible.
- Duration: Minimum stay of 2 weeks
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., camp counselor, coach, mentor, or tutor) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to be available 24/7 for student support when on duty.
