GL Live, part of GL Events, an international group specializing in the organization of large-scale events, is looking for a Site Manager (on a fixed-term contract) to manage the prestigious Milano Cortina **** project.
About the Role
As Site Manager, you will be the operational point of contact on the ground: you will coordinate the construction and setup of the competition sites, manage local teams and suppliers, and ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality and safety standards.
You will play a key role in communicating with the Organizing Committee, local authorities, and all stakeholders, helping to create a unique, world-class event.
Responsibilities
Daily supervision of construction sites and venue overlay operations
Coordination of internal teams, local labor, and subcontractors
Management of logistics, additional orders, and approved changes
Monitoring compliance with safety, health, and sustainability regulations
Monitoring work progress and providing periodic reports to the Project Manager
Constant communication with the Organizing Committee, suppliers, and stakeholders
Selection and management of local suppliers (builders, plumbers, decorators, etc.)
Promotion of a culture of quality and sustainable development within the team
Qualifications
- Have a degree in Engineering or Architecture and be registered with the Order of Engineers or
Architects in Italy
- Proven experience managing complex construction sites and large events (site
manager/construction manager)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and HSE procedures
Ability to work in dynamic and multicultural environments
Fluent in English (other languages preferred)
Willingness to travel and be present at various operational locations in Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo,
and related locations
