As an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you will be leading projects to fit out our data centers to meet ever‑evolving customer needs as we continue expanding our fleet to hyper‑scale. /p h3Responsabilità chiave /h3 ul liPerform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region. /li liTroubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site / equipment failures. /li liDirectly support operational issues with ad‑hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support. /li liOwn the conceptual design for existing data‑center upgrades and design‑solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, increase efficiency and sustainability. /li liInterface with internal data‑center operations team, data‑center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered. /li liWork on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions. /li liInitiate and lead engineering audits including on‑site visits within Amazon’s data centers. Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation. /li liAct as resident engineer during new construction projects. Support construction, commissioning, and turnover. /li /ul h3Qualifiche e requisiti /h3 ul liPossess strong engineering judgment and are able to provide recommendations despite uncertainty / ambiguity. /li liPossess excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, maintain high quality standards. /li liOrganized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and budget. /li liHave experience solving problems with engineered solutions. /li liHave experience managing engineering projects and consultants. /li liBuild trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Controls, Construction, Design, Commissioning, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers). /li liAre adaptable and inclined to get into the field to see things up close. /li liExcited about a mix of office and field work. /li liBachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent. /li liExperience with mission‑critical facilities engineering including but not limited to the following sectors : data centers, power generation, oil gas facilities. /li liBusiness‑level fluency in written and spoken English; basic understanding of Italian is a plus. /li liWilling to travel between Data Center sites, and internationally if required. /li liPossess data analytics skills, data querying skills / language, scripting, and comfort with working in large amounts of data in new and evolving environments. /li liDirect experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission‑critical facilities, especially data centers. /li liExperience as resident engineer or hands‑on (in the field) design consultant or owner’s engineer. /li liKnowledge of building codes and regulations for your region. Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents. /li liAbility to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment / mass production. /li liBasic understanding of both mechanical and / or electrical equipment / design related to data centers (including but not limited to: uninterruptible power sources, diesel generators, electrical switch gear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic / static transfer switches, chillers (air‑cooled and water‑cooled), pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, fans, air economizers, water treatment, etc.). /li liExperience with EPMS / SCADA / BMS Controls system (software and / or hardware). /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
