The Global Graduate Programme – A Fast-Track to Leadership
The Sibelco Global Graduate Programme is a two-year rotational programme consisting of two one-year assignments in key operational and commercial roles. Participants gain hands-on experience with real business projects, ensuring early responsibility and exposure to strategic decision-making.
Participants receive a permanent contract from the start, ensuring long-term career prospects within Sibelco. As part of this programme, we are recruiting a Graduate Industrial Waste Analyst for a one-year assignment focused on waste management optimization and cost efficiency within our glass recycling operations in San Cesario.
Graduates must also be open to spending their second year in a different cluster outside their initial region to gain international or regional business exposure.
Your Impact in This Role
This assignment explores new ways to valorize waste streams into value-added End of Waste products. Key responsibilities include :
* Managing sample collection and maintaining a waste sample database
* Analyzing waste disposal costs, recovery rates, and production waste volumes
* Engaging with waste industry players (landfills, recyclers, etc.)
* Supporting waste stream optimization and reporting on improvements
* Collaborating with Operations, Sustainability, Legal, Commercial, and Waste departments
* Proposing innovative solutions for waste stream management and commercial opportunities
* What You Bring to the Table
* Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Leadership, communication, and project management skills
* Interest in waste management, recycling, and sustainability
* Fluent English and Italian skills.
* Driving license is required (car is needed due to the industrial location)
* Openness to spending the second year in a different cluster for international / regional experience
