The person will be responsible for creating and executing a worldwide supply chain by working closely with our retail and operations partners across the globe in order to effectively manage volume flows and fullness for our fulfillment centers and delivery stations. The role requires heavy emphasis on dive deep, bias for action, and ownership. /ppAs an Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead an inbound operation, outbound operation, or a functional process on a specified shift or across multiple shifts within an Amazon Fulfillment Center. You will be responsible for leading, developing and engaging a team of exceptional talent that makes innovation possible. One of your main focuses will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team to become the best leaders they can be. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliLead and develop a team of 3-7 Area Managers (front-line supervisors) and 100-300 hourly associates by embodying Amazon’s Leadership Principles. /liliAct as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed. /liliMentor, train and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement and recognition purposes. /liliExecute Daily Capacity planning to guarantee success at the site. /liliCreate, communicate and maintain quality control policies and standard work procedures to Area Managers and associates. /liliProactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers. /liliBuild and deliver productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance labor. /liliEvaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound productivity requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations. /liliSupport all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and managers. /liliExecute capacity planning and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful site operations. /li /ulh3Basic Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics. /liliWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. /lili3+ years of employee and performance management experience. /lili2 years of strong operations management experience with data analysis. /lili5+ years operations management experience in manufacturing, production, distribution environment or related industry. /liliSupervisory responsibility for a minimum of 100 hourly employees. /liliExcel skills required. /liliEnglish proficiency. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulli3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience. /li /ulpOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
