Regional Cooling Service Expert (Data Center Cooling) The Regional Cooling Service Expert is responsible to provide professional on‑site services for the cooling range of products produced by Schneider Electric to its customers including commissioning, technical on‑site analysis, and resolution of customer issues. The role focuses on complex and critical projects, providing troubleshooting and on‑site support for Cooling Equipment & Systems (air cooling, air‑ or water‑cooled chillers, CRAC/CRAH units).
Location & commitments
Slovakia or your home country (time spent offsite – no need to relocate)
Candidates are welcome from: Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Portugal
Possibility to work remotely
Extensive international travel (70%) within Europe, mostly: Germany, France, BENELUX, Nordics, UK, and others (financial bonus for travelling)
To be an EU passport holder is mandatory for this role
Main responsibilities
Perform startup & commissioning on all equipment across the entire cooling product range
Evaluate unit installation (e.g. quality of pipes for in‑units and hydraulic circuit for chillers)
Evaluate system installation & operational conditions
Perform onsite adjustments to bring units to optimal running conditions
Identify failures related to quality, software, or operational conditions (root‑cause analysis)
Work with Schneider Electric service engineers and partners during site interventions
Properly document, label, and return all defective parts to the designated disposal/repair location
Train Schneider Electric customers on basic equipment operations
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for cooling systems
Requirements
Thorough understanding of HVAC principles, specifically cooling and basic knowledge of electricity
Ability to perform duties with general direction, receiving only general guidance with respect to overall objectives (independent work)
Compliance with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business procedures, technical documents, and regulations
Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to travel internationally for 70% of the working time (EU passport holder required)
Education & Experience
University education – Mechanical or Electrotechnical (degree)
At least 5 years of commissioning or field service repair with HVAC or cooling equipment
Confirmed experience with cooling equipment & solutions (air cooling, water‑cooled chillers)
Experience with precision cooling is a real advantage
Experience with HVAC, generators, and fire detection/suppression systems
Mandatory: fluent communication in English (B2+)
Flexibility & reliability, focus on technical details, customer focus, teamwork, leadership skills
Good literacy in MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD
