In Iberdrola Italia, we are looking for a highly experienced Site Manager.
The Site Manager is a critical role within the Onshore Renewables Business. Belonging to the Construction Team and reporting to the Project Manager, the role will be responsible for managing the site, overseeing subcontractors, ensuring work completion according to contractual schedules, and fulfilling all technical requirements. The Site Manager will be the ultimate on-site authority for the assigned project.
The role involves leading project management activities on site for the construction of renewable energy projects.
The individual will be recognized as an expert in their field and will take leadership within the project requirements.
Tasks for this role include:
* Main responsible of Iberdrola on site (full-time on-site)
* Ensuring correct execution of the renewable project in safety, QAQC, planning, and cost, reporting to the Project Manager and the person in charge of the PV Plant package.
* Managing and coordinating all interfaces between activities required for the project's development and commissioning: Planning, Cost Control, Engineering, Purchases, Construction, and Commissioning.
* Supporting the Project Manager during tender processes, including preparing tender documentation and contracts, evaluating offers, and leading negotiations, with technical support from the engineering team.
* Coordinating teams and planning activities in accordance with permitting requirements, involving internal teams (engineering and permitting) and external parties (PMO and contractors).
* Managing main supplies and execution contracts, ensuring performance in health and safety, quality, scheduling, and cost.
* Managing Subcontractors' Provisional Acceptance Certificates and leading internal asset management to O&M.
* Implementing and adapting Iberdrola standards, procedures, tools, and quality requirements.
* Providing expert advice on programmed strategies, engineering approaches, risk levels, and grid interface agreements for multi-disciplinary projects.
* Offering professional leadership to team members, ensuring high standards and high-quality, cost-effective project delivery.
* Staying informed about the latest technical developments and identifying activities to reduce costs and risks or improve safety.
* Coordinating incident management on site with contractors and third parties.
* Capturing and sharing lessons learned across projects and teams.
* liaising with stakeholders like EDP, REN, etc., to lead technical aspects during construction.
Required qualifications
* Technical high school diploma or engineering degree.
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the energy industry, specifically in solar project site management.
* Knowledge of TSO/DSO standards.
* Engineering development experience is a plus.
* Fluent in Italian.
* Professional proficiency in English.
* Spanish skills are a plus.

* Availability to travel extensively (up to 100%).
