Our Institute for Climate Resilience (ICR) is looking for
up to 2 Researchers in Risk and Resilience Assessment
, located in Venice, responsible for contributing to the ongoing international/European research projects in the field of applied climate risk and resilience assessment and climate adaptation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary purposes for this position cover:
development and application of a multi-risk assessment methodology to analyse the effect of climate change-related impacts;
support in writing and managing EU projects and tenders proposals;
contributing to scientific publication activity and disseminations action.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 10 years of relevant research experience
A PhD in environmental science, environmental engineering, science and management of Climate Change or equivalent subjects
Previous experience in conducting risk and climate change impact assessment, familiarity with research methods and literature on multi-risk assessment, climate risk management, climate change adaptation and resilience.
Proficiency in working with large climate datasets in netcdf format and perform climate data analysis
Previous experience in project management and acquisition of research funds,
Quantitative skills (including GIS, handling of climate datasets in R, Python or other software environment),
Accuracy and good analytical skills.
Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of other foreign languages is an asset;
Proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong team spirit with proven capacity to thrive in interdisciplinary environments.
Skilled at multitasking and managing competing priorities efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving orientation with a focus on practical and innovative solutions.
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
The researchers will be based in Venice CMCC office.
Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
The salary ranges from € 53.000 to € 62.000 per year.
Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
Flexible working time as per internal policies.
Support during the immigration process, if needed.

Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
Some fiscal benefits could be applied for repatriated workers or foreign researchers/professors, having the requirements defined by Dlgs 147/2015 (for repatriates) or Dl 78/2010 (for foreigners).
