Duties and Responsibilities As Income Auditor, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the following: Properly check and finalize daily room revenue reports, including: Control discrepancies between housekeeping and front office room statuses, ensuring total rooms available for sale match contracted rooms. Ensure market segmentation accurately reflects the source of business and is correctly reflected in the General Ledger (GL). Verify room rates against agreements or reservations, check allowances for room revenue, and correct room revenue in PMS and GL. Check minibar, laundry, telephone, and other revenues. Review rebate reports, discount reports, complimentary and house-use reports, no-show postings, late check-outs, etc., ensuring all complimentary or discounted rooms have proper approval documentation. Reconcile all credit card collections with cashier summaries and bank statements. Finalize food and beverage revenue reports and prepare documentation for control and finance departments. Enter revenue data into the journal and distribute to outlet managers and management. Control outlet dockets, maintain correct usage sequences, and record cancellations appropriately. Monitor food and beverage sales by: Ensuring guest checks are recorded timely Performing spot checks on outlet checks Ensuring voided and corrected checks are approved Monitoring buffet controls, especially cash-settled checks, to prevent reuse and ensure all revenue is recorded Adhering to banquet control procedures Reconciling total outlet sales with total charges Supporting rebates and miscellaneous charges with proper documentation, in line with Six Senses finance policies Summarizing rebates, charges, and payouts daily for review by management Controlling programs involving coupons, certificates, and vouchers Auditing daily cashier collections against bank slips Reconciling advance payments and ensuring proper application Working with the General Cashier to monitor float totals and register controls Reconciling revenues daily via backup documentation Performing special projects as assigned Adhering to hotel policies, safety, and emergency procedures Logging security incidents and accidents according to hotel standards Maintaining Six Senses standards of service and operation, exceeding performance benchmarks Strictly following LQA standards and guest feedback Qualifications To succeed as an Income Auditor, I must possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience: Diploma or equivalent in Finance or Accounting, with professional certification and at least 1 year of experience in a hotel accounting role or similar. Hospitality diploma/degree is preferred. Technical proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and familiarity with hotel systems such as POS, PMS, and CRM platforms.
