We pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment where interns are valued members of the team and are given meaningful projects to work on.Primary Job SummaryThe R&D Engineer leads the development and design of standard and special chillers with a focus on sustainability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe R&D Engineer configures and manages chiller models with performance checks in coordination with the testing department.The Role InvolvesDirect responsibility for selecting appropriate components, such as compressors, heat exchangers and fans, to meet design specifications and performance requirements.Staying up to date with industry trends, technologies and regulations to ensure that designs are cutting‑edge and compliant.Working closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions that exceed their expectations.Communication & CoordinationThe R&D Engineer communicates regularly with other departments regarding technical clarifications, design modifications and feedback from production. This role provides technical support to the sales and testing departments, proactively reports recurring issues and contributes to identifying engineering improvements and design optimizations.Skills And QualificationsThermodynamics: Mastery of the fundamental laws of thermodynamics, particularly with regard to reverse cycles (refrigeration cycle).Plant engineering: analysis and reading of hydraulic and refrigeration circuit diagrams; the ability to read electrical diagrams, even if not in depth, is a plus.Reading and interpreting technical specifications: Ability to analyze and interpret technical documents, specifications and functional specifications.Work management: A methodical, precise and organized approach to carrying out activities is required.Problem solving: Ability to identify and solve technical problems effectively and proactively.Industry regulations: Knowledge of national and European regulations in the sector (Machinery Directive, EN2014‑68 EU, EN3781,2,3,4), preferably also ASMEVIII and UL for foreign markets.Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with other departments to ensure project consistency.Experience: Preferably experience in the design and engineering of HVAC systems.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.BenefitsCompetitive SalaryProfessional development opportunitiesState‑of‑the‑art equipment and tools to support your workEqual Opportunity EmployerMunters are equal opportunity employers and are committed to diversity in the workplace.
