Ph3Overview /h3 pCritical Infrastructure Electrical Engineer, Field Engineering at AWS. As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will be the go-to engineering resource for your region when technical advice is needed, engaging with diverse teams to support design, operations, and field execution. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region. /li liTroubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site / equipment failures. /li liDirectly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support. /li liOwn the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions to add capacity, improve availability, increase efficiency and sustainability. /li liInterface with internal data center operations teams, data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, and environmental health and safety teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered. /li liDevelop innovative solutions for AWSs data centers and work on concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions. /li liInitiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits within Amazon’s data centers, producing reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation. /li liAct as resident engineer during new construction projects; support construction, commissioning, and turnover. /li /ul h3Qualifications Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. /li li4+ years of experience with industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering including data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. /li liBusiness-level fluency in written and spoken English. /li liWilling to travel between data center sites and internationally if required. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liDirect experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities, especially data centers. /li liExperience as resident engineer or hands-on design consultant with ability to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment. /li liExperience reading construction drawings, specifications, submittal documents, and building codes. /li liUnderstanding of mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment / design related to data centers (including UPS, diesel generators, switchgear, PDU, VFDs, ATS, chillers, pumps, CRAHs, air economizers, etc.). /li liEPMS / SCADA / BMS controls system experience (software or hardware). /li liBusiness-level fluency in written and spoken Italian. /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunity employer.
