Director Industry Sales Europe - Power and Renewables (M / F / d)

Location

Anywhere in Europe close to an Emerson office and an international airport.


Role Overview

A collaborative & communicative business leader will lead the development and execution of sales strategies for the industry segment, with the goal to drive profitable growth of the SYSS business in Europe. You will be part of a European SYSS Leadership team focused on positioning Emerson as the supplier of first choice for projects, consultancy, and lifecycle services, leveraging our industry solutions portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure annual sales targets are achieved through effective sales leadership and business strategies.
2. Establish and maintain a market development and industry growth plan for the segment.
3. Lead the European team and support in-country Sales Directors and teams.
4. Participate in developing and driving plans for Software Platforms (e.g., Mimic, Syncade / RTMS / PKM / AspenTech, etc.) with Industrial Software leadership.
5. Maintain industry knowledge, including trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape.
6. Coordinate project pursuit activities and ensure effective sales management processes, including Solution Selling methodology and training.
7. Report to top management and assume responsibility for Budget, Orders, Sales, and Profitability.


Candidate Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field; MBA is advantageous.
2. Several years of relevant sales leadership, account management, or general management experience.
3. Knowledge of the industry & applicable regulations (e.g., hydro, wind, waste energy) and T&Cs.
4. Process Automation / Process control knowledge.
5. IT affinity (SAP, Cloud Solutions, IIOT, etc.).
6. Proven track record of delivering results across multi-country and matrix organizations.
7. Strong skills in developing individuals and teams.
8. Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
9. Willingness to travel up to 50% across Europe.
