 
        
        Michael Page The Group Credit Manager will report to the Group CFO and coordinate a team of approximately 20 people across different offices. Key responsibilities: 
 
 Develop, implement, and continuously improve the global credit policy, ensuring consistency across regions while considering local regulatory and commercial differences 
 Assess and manage credit risk exposure for existing and prospective customers 
 Oversee credit limit setting, monitoring, and review processes, in alignment with internal controls and business strategy 
 Lead and coordinate global collections activities, working closely with regional finance teams to improve DSO and reduce b.d. 
 Collaborate with commercial and legal teams to ensure customer contracts reflect sound credit terms and risk protection 
 Provide regular reporting and analytics to senior leadership on credit performance, risk concentrations, and collections KPIs 
 Manage relationships with external agencies including credit rating firms, insurance providers, and collections agencies 
 Support M&A activity with due diligence related to receivables and credit exposures 
 Mentor and guide local credit controllers across various markets, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. 
 The ideal candidate will have these characteristics:
 
 Degree in Economics or Law 
 Approx.15-25 years of credit management experience within international companies 
 Solid understanding of international credit risk assessment, trade finance, and collections practices 
 Experience in a multi-country, multi-currency environment, ideally in the services sector 
 Proven ability to drive credit strategy, manage stakeholders across departments and cultures, and lead change 
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent communication and influencing capabilities - English language must be fluent, written and spoken 
 Proficiency in credit risk tools and ERP systems (the company is working on homogeneizing different local systems); strong Excel and reporting skills. 
 The company is already well organized and structured but still growing through local and international M&A operations. The main office will be in Piacenza's area but the Group Credit Manager will be travelling in Northern Italy and occasionally abroad. 
 The company offers a strategic management position (salary to be discussed depending on the experience + MBO + company car, 'Quadro' level) within a dynamic and international work environment.
