Product Engineering Specialist Location: Garbagnate Monastero, Lombardy, Italy.
Join ABB's Product Engineering team to help industries stay leaner and cleaner. This role focuses on engineering products according to technical specifications during product development and technical improvements of active products.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects and activities during the product life cycle after release for sales.
Coordinate cross‑functional project teams, motivate and monitor internal/external resources to hit milestones.
Manage cost, schedule and performance objectives within a global organization, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Partner with relevant business units or external resources to define requirements and deliverables.
Understand customer value, manage expectations, and incorporate customer and internal requirements.
Ensure transparency on change requests, identify risks, and manage communications.
Manage product changes and customizations through ABB's gate model from request to release.
Transfer new products from the development team to operations, including documentation (drawings, BOM, work instructions, spare‑parts lists, product manuals).
Qualifications
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Management Engineering.
Solid understanding of manufacturing technologies.
Proficient with MS Office and 2D/3D CAD tools.
Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, and PLM systems (e.g., plus.
Excellent command of English; fluency in Italian is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate clearly and work proactively in a team.
