 
        
        Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center, DCEO
We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. This hands‑on role focuses on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation response in one of the world’s largest information system infrastructures.
Key job responsibilities
 * On‑site management of contractors, sub‑contractors and vendors, ensuring work performed follows established practices, procedures and local legislation.
 * Maintain performance benchmarks and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
 * Generate change‑management requests and incident‑management tickets as directed.
 * Learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
 * Assist with rack installation and provision of power/cooling.
 * Become involved with routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, cooling equipment and building monitoring systems.
 * Assist and learn about the design, implementation, commissioning and build‑out of new facilities.
 * Assist with the management of facility assets.
 * Participate in construction and operational meetings as required.
 * Assist with work‑order compliance and review of contractual SLAs.
 * Interface with infrastructure operations teams for day‑to‑day operational requirements.
 * Assist in the resolution of any infrastructure engineering or services issue.
 * Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
 * Meet daily hours of operation, shift and on‑call requirements for response during shift rotations.
A day in the life
 * Monitor alarms and systems that manage power, cooling, and fire suppression in the data center.
 * Coordinate vendor work on‑site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime is preserved.
 * Support other teams and sites during events and planned works.
 * Handle rack installations and power up equipment.
 * Monitor and facilitate the handover of new equipment.
 * Share knowledge and support new team members.
 * Participate in event response drills.
Basic Qualifications
 * High school or equivalent diploma.
 * 1 to 4 years of knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory; generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, fan controls, and backup generator systems.
 * Strong attention to detail.
 * Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
 * Eagerness to learn, motivated, and self‑starter.
 * Good communication and coordination skills.
 * Must be able to participate in on‑call rotation and work overtime when required.
Preferred Qualifications
 * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline and professional certification in electrical, mechanical, or controls engineering.
 * Experience in operations of critical facilities (heavy industry or data centers) requiring in‑depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems and data center engineering experience.
