AWS (AIS) - AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale, speed, ability to build, invent, and simplify a resilient and sustainable company. Key responsibilities
* Producing Design Specifications, marking up and checking design drawings, supporting on-site activities (technical submittal reviews, answering RFIs, etc.), site inspections, equipment qualifications, presenting designs to stakeholders (page turns).
About the team
The team consists of Electrical Engineers with Design Engineering backgrounds (typically having worked as Consulting Engineers with wide ranging experience), many ex-electricians with a practical knowledge of the systems they are designing.

Basic Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering with experience in power systems and mission-critical electrical design.
* Excellent understanding of European Electrical Codes and detailed knowledge of critical LV, MV and HV electrical equipment.
* Understanding of relays, protection schemes, high-voltage circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers, electrical switchgear, grounding and earthing; ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.
* Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, deployment/construction, and perform complex business case analysis to justify technical decisions and present them to management in a high-level review.
Preferred Qualifications
* Chartered Engineer with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and experience directly related to data center or mission-critical facility design.
* Experience in consultant negotiation and management for design, construction and project management of fast-track design/build projects or multiple significant upgrade projects.
* Extensive knowledge of building codes and regulations with the ability to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs without impacting quality, reliability, or maintainability.
* Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills; a motivated, highly dependable individual.
