Global Training Program Specialist, BU Transformers – Hitachi Energy
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Training Program Specialist to join our Business Unit Transformers Global Team. In this role, you will lead the analysis of training needs, design of learning solutions, planning/logistics of implementation, and evaluation of specific training programs across key business functions. You will work with functional leaders across Functions and Product Groups to ensure the target audience receives effective training and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage structured curriculums (structure and content) tailored to specific business needs.
- Lead the rollout and execution of training programs by coordinating with functional, regional, and local teams and adapt training for cultural and operational differences.
- Ensure training programs are engaging, relevant, and scalable across global locations.
- Act as a strategic partner to functional leaders to identify training gaps and priorities, aligning programs to business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define training objectives and target outcomes.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop high-quality learning materials and programs using blended learning approaches (eLearning, instructor-led, and on-the-job training).
- Oversee scheduling, facilitator assignments, and participant tracking via the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Track training metrics to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Stay current on new learning methods and technologies to drive improvements in content, delivery, and program structure.
- Partner with Regional Training Managers to ensure consistency and scalability of training programs.
Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in training program management, learning & development management, or instructional design, preferably in a global organization.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE).
- Experience in curriculum development, content design, and training delivery.
- Excellent project management skills with focus on training programs.
- Knowledge of eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) and multimedia content creation.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related training technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% to engage with stakeholders and support training program implementation.
- Professional certifications such as CPTD, CPTM, CLDP, or similar are preferred.
