Job Description
For a 5* Luxury Resort in Capri, we are looking for a
EVENTS MANAGER
Main Duties:
1. Maximize all Group and Event revenue opportunities
2. Be focused on communicating, maintaining, and developing client relationship
3. Sales proactive activities in order to develop new business
4. Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments' adherence to achieving that strategy
5. Plan, direct and implement events in a close relationship with the Banqueting and F&B teams in order to maximize guests satisfaction
6. Manage Event Logistics and Operations
7. Ensure the Group and Events Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
8. Manage and develop the Group and Events Team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning
9. Ensure and provide Exceptional Customer Service
10. Arrange and carry out site inspections
11. Organize hotel promotional activities
Job Requirements:
12. Demonstrated previous managerial or supervisory experience in events departments within luxury hospitality properties
13. Business development oriented;
14. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets
15. Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
16. Excellent selling capability and an ability and desire to coach selling techniques to their team
17. Excellent organizational and planning skills
18. Accountable and resilient
19. Ability to work under pressure
20. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
21. Fluent in Italian and English both written and spoken
22. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
