Role Description This full-time, on-site Assistant Banquet Manager role is based at San Clemente Palace in Venice. The Assistant Banquet Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet events, ensuring high-quality service and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting with event setup and breakdown, supervising banquet staff during service, and coordinating with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages. The role also involves monitoring event timelines, addressing guest requests or issues promptly, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in banquet areas. Additionally, the Assistant Banquet Manager assists with staff scheduling, training, and performance feedback, while helping to control costs and manage inventory for banquet operations.
Qualifications
* Strong customer-focused mindset with skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service.
* Excellent Communication abilities for coordinating with guests, team members, and other departments.
* Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including banquet service standards and basic product knowledge.
* Experience supporting Hiring, training, and supervising service staff in a hospitality or events environment.
* Previous experience in banquet, events, or restaurant management or supervision is preferred.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure.
* Proficiency in basic office and hotel systems (e.g., MS Office, event management or POS systems) is an advantage.
* Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian and additional languages is a plus.
* Knowledge in Micros System.
