Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of products, raw materials, or components to identify defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities. This may involve visual inspections, measurements, and using testing equipment
Quality Testing: Design and implement quality tests and procedures to evaluate product performance and adherence to specifications. This can include destructive and non-destructive testing
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Use statistical methods and quality tools to assess and report findings
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality tests, inspections, and findings. Create reports and documentation that provide a clear overview of product quality
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues, working with cross-functional teams to develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Process Improvement: Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, efficiency, and consistency
Quality Standards: Stay updated on industry-specific quality standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance
Quality Audits: Perform periodic internal and external quality audits to verify adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
Quality Training: Train and educate employees on quality control procedures and best practices, ensuring that quality awareness is maintained throughout the organization
Quality Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and establish goals for continuous improvement
Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components meets established standards
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering)
Relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) may be preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools like Six Sigma
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and a strong focus on precision
Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations
Proficiency in quality management software and tools
Experience in quality control or quality assurance roles is a plus.
