Project Description
The research project 'Cognitive Evolution of Graphic Codes' is part of the FIS2
SAPIENCE (Symbols, Preliteracy and Code Evolution)
project, which aims to reconstruct the origins of prehistoric graphic codes by analysing the centuries-old processes of symbol production created, selected, and transmitted by preliterary communities globally.
The goal is to examine the codes from a cognitive, archaeological, semiotic and anthropological perspective for each context.
Role Description
This is a full-time role based in Bologna for
FOUR
Postdoctoral Researchers.
Responsibilities include conducting advanced research in the prehistory of graphic codes, performing data analysis, and contributing to team work.
The Postdoctoral Researchers will also travel, mentor students, and collaborate to foster the growth of the project.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in
your field
to analyze the creation and evolution of graphic codes.
Candidates must demonstrate advanced English knowledge and flexibility for international travel.
