At Exein, our mission is to build the world’s first ecosystem for IoT device security, protecting millions of devices worldwide. As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Senior Financial Controller to strengthen and structure our finance function.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong accounting foundations with hands-on experience in management control and wants to play a key role inside a fast-growing tech company.
About the role
You will take ownership of management control and accounting, working closely with the Finance Manager and leadership team to ensure financial rigor while supporting strategic decision-making.
You’ll operate at the intersection of financial reporting, accounting, and performance analysis, helping us build scalable financial processes in a high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage management control and accounting processes across the company.
* Oversee the full accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
* Develop and maintain financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Monitor and analyze financial performance, KPIs, and cost structures, supporting leadership with data-driven insights.
* Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting systems.
* Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
* Support the Finance Manager on cash flow monitoring, planning, and financial analysis.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in audit at a Big Four firm, at least at Senior Auditor level.
* Subsequent experience in management control / Financial Controller roles.
* Strong background in accounting and financial reporting.
* Ability to work autonomously and bring structure to a fast-growing environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and high standards for accuracy.
* Professional proficiency in English and Italian.
Nice to have
* Experience in SaaS or tech companies.
* Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics and recurring revenue models.
* Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
