Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Chemist with strong expertise in solvent-based formulation to join our innovative R&D; team (Pianoro) focused on wood coatings.
You will lead the development, reformulation, and optimization of high-performance coatings, ensuring consistent quality and measurable improvements. Using advanced technologies, you'll deliver solutions that meet both technical and economic goals, with a clear impact on end-user experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive product innovation through experimental design, analysis, and process optimization
- Solve complex technical challenges related to formulation and application
- Investigate coating failures and contamination using SEM/EDX and microscopy
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support product quality and customer satisfaction
- Lead or contribute to projects with moderate complexity, ensuring timely and accurate results
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in coatings formulation
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and raw materials
- Proficient in SEM/EDX and failure analysis techniques
- Skilled in complaint investigation and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Fluent in Italian and English
