Role
Role: The Renewable Energy Development Lead will play a central role in guiding and supporting a team of project developers across the full lifecycle of solar and battery storage projects. This includes site origination, permitting, grid connection strategy, stakeholder engagement, and advancing projects through to construction readiness. The position requires both hands-on involvement in complex projects and leadership in developing team capability, ensuring delivery against strategic growth objectives.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to a team of project developers across the full lifecycle of solar and battery storage projects.
* Own site origination, permitting, grid connection strategy, stakeholder engagement, and progression to construction readiness.
* Ensure delivery against strategic growth objectives through hands-on project involvement and capability development.
Qualifications
* 4+ years’ experience in renewable energy project development, with proven expertise in solar PV and/or BESS.
* Strong understanding of Italian permitting processes, environmental regulations, and grid connection procedures.
* Experience managing and mentoring project developers or multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong commercial and technical acumen, with the ability to identify risks and unlock opportunities.
* Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
* Leadership skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
