As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense, military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue, and Airborne law enforcement agencies. Our MX-series systems produce stabilized high-magnification electro-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine, and ground platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.
About the Role
This role involves selling company products, systems, and/or services, managing opportunities throughout the sales pipeline, prospecting, qualifying, proposing, negotiating, and closing sales. You will also develop marketing and business plans, communicate market strategies, and conduct competitive assessments. Responsibilities include sales presentations, participating in tradeshows, and providing updates to senior staff.
Reporting to the Territory Director – Europe, you will be part of a collaborative in-country team focused on expanding the market for WESCAM MX series in Poland and Eastern Europe. This is a high-profile role responsible for driving growth in a rapidly expanding market.
Primary Responsibilities
* Meet or exceed sales targets by directing activities to achieve territorial goals.
* Generate and increase a pipeline of sales opportunities.
* Capture customer requirements and sell MX, CMX, and MatriX solutions across all domains.
* Promote current products and recommend new developments for growth.
* Serve as the customer expert and lead business pursuits.
* Develop strategies for key pursuits and manage business opportunities.
* Coordinate with out-of-territory sales directors and support teams.
* Engage with Program Managers and Account Managers to ensure ongoing business.
* Spend significant time networking and meeting with customers, with up to 50% travel.
Required Capabilities
* Excellent communication skills; fluent in English and another language.
* Strong networking skills with customer communities.
* Ability to develop long-term relationships remotely and in person.
* Knowledge of the regional customer base and key stakeholders.
* Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
* Understanding of sensor technology and applications.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and confident presenter.
Desired Education and Experience
* Mastery level knowledge in technical areas; recognized as an expert.
* Bachelor’s Degree with at least 9 years relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years, or 13+ years without a degree.
* Successful sales experience in National Security, Military, or Intelligence domains, especially with OEMs.
* Military experience is a plus.
