This is a hands-on role in a small team that requires a flexible person who is curious about technology and has a strong interest in maritime systems. Includes development and execution of test plans, support in definition of production requirements and coordination of customer validation activities. /ppstrongAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver. /strong /ppEssential Functions: /pulliDevelop and execute test plans and cases for Navico’s commercial products, with a focus on radar and ECDIS software solutions. /liliIdentify, document, and report defects and issues. /liliPlan and execute testing to meet IMO Wheelmark requirements /liliLiaise with and coordinate customer validation. Communicate with validators to identify and reproduce issues. /liliAssist Product Manager and Product Experts in replicating field issues and verifying resolutions /liliWork with the Product manager and Product Development and Engineering team to clarify requirements for new features. /liliCollaborate with other testers and developers across Navico’s global organization to bring in best practices. /liliParticipate in team meetings and provide input on testing activities. /liliConduct positive and negative functional, regression, and performance testing as required. /liliMaintain accurate records of testing activities and outcomes. /liliCommunicate with validators to identify and reproduce issues /liliAble to work independently within the bounds of a wider project /liliAble to take high level, often vaguely defined tasks and work on them independently and deliver outcome /li /ulpstrongDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way. /strong /ppuRequired Qualifications: /u /pulli5+ years of experience in software quality testing or related field /liliTechnical curiousity /liliHigh level of expertise in testing techniques /liliProficiency with defect testing tools (e.g. TestRail, TestLink, JIRA) /liliWritten and verbal communication skills in the English language /liliDetailed knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies /liliDetailed knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) /li /ulpuPreferred Qualifications: /u /pulliExperience with compliance of IMO Wheelmark systems, especially radar and ECDIS. /liliUniversity degree in technology or related field /liliAdvanced knowledge of automation framework /li /ulpstrongWorking Conditions: /strong /ppstrongThis is a mixed remote position.
