JUNIOR FINANCE PROJECT CONTROLLER
Purpose of the job:
The Project Controller is responsible for the financial management and control of a project portfolio. At this level, he/she operates with full autonomy for large projects and may supervise a team of project controllers for a portfolio of large and complex projects. Acts as the financial support and representative for the project manager, ensuring financial transparency of the project.
Key Accountabilities
* Ensure project accounting complies with company guidelines.
* Organize project reviews from start to finish of each contract and manage financial reporting in accordance with internal control rules.
* Ensure the accuracy and sincerity of the project financial situation as reported in Sector Project Reviews, respecting Alstom rules.
* Support the project manager and other project functions as a finance partner.
* Prepare project review content and periodic financial presentations in collaboration with the project team.
* Understand project documents and systems, actively managing financial implications arising from them.
* Produce all requested financial project reports (forecast cash flow, revenue, gross margin, etc.).
* Implement and maintain robust internal controls, including DoA, ensuring compliance.
* Establish onshore project financials in collaboration with the local finance team.
* Maintain full knowledge of all financial movements within the project scope, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation with project accounts and balance sheet positions.
* Manage interfaces with tax, treasury, insurance, and contract management functions.
* Ensure internal and external claims are consistent in the project financials.
* Assess and report risks and opportunities, supporting correct risk valuation and reporting.
* Provide reliable financial data to management for decision-making.
* Handle ad-hoc reporting and investigations related to projects.
* Ensure alignment with project teams such as Planning and Sourcing.
Main Required Competencies
* Experience in Work Package and Project controlling is preferred.
* Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, controlling, risk valuation, and interpreting financial data for strategic decisions.
University degree in Finance or a relevant field, or equivalent.
* High integrity and dependability.
* Strong sense of urgency and results-oriented mindset.

* Excellent communication skills for engaging with various organizational levels in a matrix environment.
