Senior Buyer We are looking to recruit Senior Buyer to join our team. This is a full time position based at our company headquarters in Modena, Italy.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end management of the procurement process for electronic components (ICs, passive components, PCBs, modules, cables, electromechanical components)
* Selection, qualification, and management of suppliers (distributors and manufacturers), with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and sustainability
* Negotiation of pricing, commercial terms, framework agreements, and medium- to long-term supply contracts
* Monitoring of the electronic components market (lead times, shortages, obsolescence, EOL, alternative components)
* Collaboration with R&D and industrialization on component selection, BOM alternatives, and design-to-cost activities
* Support in managing supply chain issues (delays, shortages, escalations)
* Cost analysis (TCO) and implementation of cost-saving strategies
* Management of purchase orders, forecasting, and planning in coordination with production and logistics
* Monitoring of purchasing KPIs (OTD, cost savings, vendor rating)
* Support for supplier audits and continuous improvement processes
Requirements
Education
* Bachelor's degree or technical diploma (Electronics, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent)
Experience
* At least 7–10 years of experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer in the electronics or industrial sector
* Direct experience with electronic components and international supply chains
Technical Skills
* Excellent knowledge of the electronic components market
* Ability to read and understand BOMs and technical documentation
* Experience in managing Asian and European suppliers
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or equivalent)
* Good knowledge of obsolescence management, second sourcing, and EOL topics
Soft Skills
* Strong negotiation skills

* Ability to work in complex environments and under pressure
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal stakeholders
Languages
* Fluent written and spoken English
