We're Hiring: Validation Engineer – Automotive Infotainment ECUs | Turin
We are looking for a
Validation Engineer
with hands-on experience in automotive projects, particularly in
Infotainment ECUs validation.
Activities and Responsibilities:
You will work on international automotive projects, delivering electronic validation focused on ECU systems. Your mission includes: Participating in solution design processes alongside development teams Analyzing and integrating system requirements Developing and planning test scenarios to validate requirements Testing and maintaining implemented solutions to verify system requirements You should feel comfortable working in collaborative teams and excel at analysis and problem-solving. Occasional business trips may be required based on project needs.
Required Skills: University degree (BSc or MSc) in Electronic, Computer Science, Mechatronic, or Automotive Engineering, preferably with a final mark of at least 100/110 (High School diploma with relevant experience also considered) Strong background in automotive electronic architectures, including in-vehicle networks such as
CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and LIN, as well as diagnostic protocols ( UDS ) Hands-on experience in validation and testing of
Infotainment systems
and other ECUs Solid understanding of automotive testing and validation lifecycles, covering requirements analysis, test design and execution, defect tracking, and verification activities Practical experience with ALM tools, particularly the
Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence), or equivalent platforms Working knowledge of
Linux environments, including shell scripting fundamentals and analysis of DLT logs Proficient technical English, both written and spoken
✨ Other Useful Skills: Knowledge of automotive test automation tools and languages, including
Python, C, and CAPL Software development competencies, with experience in Unix/Linux environments, particularly Bash/shell scripting, and familiarity with languages such as Java Hands-on experience with
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing Knowledge of ECU update mechanisms, including software flashing, firmware updates, and
OTA update processes Knowledge of tools (including proprietary solutions) for ECU communication and logging, such as
DLT, DIAnalyzer, DIAGalyzer, ESOTRACE, IDEX, CDA, VENUS, ODIS, and similar platforms
Work Experience: Junior Validation Engineer : 1-2 years of experience in automotive Senior Validation Engineer : 4-5 years of experience in Telematics or Infotainment projects
