PGS Group has been active in the wood packaging industry for 30 years. Due to further expansion we are looking for an Plant Manager.
What tasks will you perform?
1. Overall responsible for the management of the production site, the achievement and exceeding of the agreed objectives by the group, the development of a strategic vision for the site in line with the group's strategy, defining and implementing objectives to improve safety, quality, production and division of labor within the site.
2. Propose and/or develop meaningful investment projects for the site(s) under management and receive budgets for this.
3. Frequent follow-up of the results and monitoring the operational results by collecting and analyzing the relevant data.
4. Identify and develop corrective actions as needed to exceed the set targets.
5. Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing processes.
6. Ensuring that processes are standardized and in line with the processes defined at group level, ensuring that the relevant standards and legislation are met.
7. To research and implement innovative methods for production processes to reduce costs and increase product quality.
8. Ensuring a culture of safety within the site(s) and the well-being of employees.
9. Coaching and guiding employees in their growth so that they develop the right behavior and the right competencies.
10. Evaluating and giving feedback to the (direct) employees to promote their development.
11. Actively participate in (the preparation of) customer visits, audits and visits to suppliers.
12. Organizing interaction with and participation of employees, ensuring involvement and taking responsibility among all employees.
13. Collaborate with other plant managers and colleagues, departments and stakeholders to achieve the group's goals and increase customer satisfaction.
14. Ensure that there is good cooperation with HR and that the HR processes are implemented.
15. Ensuring effective budget management, cost control and follow-up.
16. Collaborate with functional departments to implement all continuous improvement activities.
17. Be part of the project team in the context of investment projects.
18. Meeting agreed deadlines for implementation projects.
19. Offers support to and contributes to the sustainable business values of the organization.
Who are we looking for?
20. Industrial Engineer or equivalent through experience.
21. More than 5 years of experience in managerial positions in a production environment.
22. Experience in the process industry.
23. Has pronounced organizational, administrative and leadership skills.
24. Communicates smoothly and clearly with all levels inside and outside the organization.
25. Works smoothly with colleagues and shares knowledge, experience, best practices.
26. Possesses practical business acumen and the ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team.
27. Gets the best out of his team, is able to motivate and influence people.
