Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products. /ppWe are currently looking for a System IVVQ engineer to join Thales Land and Air Systems in its NAS Center of Competence Gorgonzola (near Milan). /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport the IVVQ Manager in the definition of IVVQ strategy and generation of associated estimates and schedule /liliPropose IVVQ testing methods, acceptance criteria and manage their implementation /liliClear and timely communication of design non-compliances to the team and wider internal/external stakeholders. Be part of technical event (problem report…) board /liliPrepare System IVVQ activities /liliExecute IVVQ activities either on-site at Gorgonzola or at the customer’s premises to deliver the evidence of compliance with requirements /liliAnalyse test results and/or data and produce technical reports /liliHighlight any technical risk associated with the IVVQ phase to the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) and Product Design Authority (PDA), proposing any suitable actions to mitigate and manage IVVQ risks /liliLiaise with the PDA and Architect to ensure that IVVQ is in line with the design and is compliant with all requirements /liliSupport capitalisation activities for the department as well as lessons learned /liliEnsure unambiguous testability of requirements /li /ulh3Profile / Qualifications /h3ulliYou graduated from an Engineering School with a Master’s degree and you have 2 or more years’ experience in IVVQ /liliYou have a good understanding of IVVQ strategies and philosophies /liliYou have experience of test activities, formal verification or validation activities /liliYou are an effective team player who can interface at all levels across the organization /liliYou are able to operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment, working effectively with teams distributed across different sites/countries /liliYou have strong organizational and team working skills /liliYou have an excellent verbal and written communication skills, good negotiation skills and a recognized capacity to influence all types of stakeholders /liliYou enjoy thinking outside the box and being creative /li /ulh3Competencies /h3ulliKnowledge of lab equipment for electronics and RF engineering such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers /liliKnowledge of scripting languages or other testing frameworks for test automation /liliKnowledge of System Engineering V-model /liliEnglish and Italian fluency is a must, ability to speak additional languages such as French is a plus /li /ulh3Nice to have /h3ulliA basic knowledge of Navaids equipment such as ILS, VOR, TACAN, DME and relevant regulations/standards (EN, ICAO, local standards) /liliKnowledge of aerospace system/software/hardware quality assurance standards: SAE ARP4754, EUROCAE ED-109A (RTCA DO-278A), EUROCAE ED-80 (RTCA DO-254), EUROCAE ED-153 /liliProficiency in issue tracking software (e.g. Jira) /liliProficiency in requirements and tests management tools /li /ulpAt Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
