Sealed Air is seeking a driven manufacturing professional to fulfill the opening of EMEA Protective Quality Manager, which also includes responsibility of the Quality Assurance Manager for the Bellusco location. The position will be based in Bellusco, Italy, in a fast-paced environment offering daily support to the manufacturing site as well as supporting improvements and optimization initiatives across all European protective locations within the Protective Vertical. This role will report directly to the Executive Director of Quality within the Protective global vertical. Responsibilities What the Bellusco Quality Manager does: Manage and direct the Quality Assurance system for the Bellusco manufacturing facility. Lead an effective Quality Management Team/System and champion continuous improvement to raise performance of the product lines. Drive improvement activities to maintain ISO, FSC and EN certificates. Educate and train employees on their impact on the quality management system. Hire, develop, mentor, coach, educate and train quality support roles. Direct oversight of quality activities and initiatives at both facilities. Site leader and driver for Global QMS utilization via the ETQ tool. Lead sites toward defect reduction goals with plans for sustained best-in-class PPM performance. Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated; manage resources cost-effectively. Promote systematic problem solving for complex production and quality issues. Establish metrics (process capability, control charts, quality measurement) for monitoring systems. Provide technical support to sales/marketing, liaise with vendors and R&D for raw materials qualifications and new product introduction. Interface with production, suppliers and customer quality representatives to ensure effective corrective action. Collaborate with other functional leads across regional operations. What the EMEA Protective Quality Manager does: Develop and standardize processes for protective network rollout (e.g., systematic problem solving, QMS usage, KPI tracking and trending). Support site leaders in achieving local certifications (ISO, FSC, BRC, etc.). Support protective facilities in continuous improvement and growth through Quality Management System components. Drive initiatives to improve overall customer experience regarding product quality. Contribute to network development and standard quality support roles within facilities. Escalation and awareness of evolving situations; lead root cause analysis across the network. Collaborate with site leaders to ensure process engineers lead quality-focused projects and process improvement waves. Collaborate on regional/global quality initiative rollouts with Protective and the SC Network. Support network initiatives addressing complex quality challenges and consistent rollout of quality processes and testing modifications. Support weekly and monthly Supply Chain Leadership calls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business or engineering strongly preferred. 8-10 years of results-oriented experience in manufacturing. Expertise in quality systems, processes, and programs (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BRC, EN15343, FSC). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels from shop floor to senior management. Lean experience. Familiarity with multiple root cause analysis tools. Flexible, innovative, and able to set own priorities; adaptable to new technologies.
