We are currently looking for a PROCUREMENT & SOURCING MANAGER - Apparel, Gloves, and Accessories to join our Sourcing, Purchasing, and Quality Department. In this role, you will create, own, and lead the Sourcing Strategy, working closely with internal cross-functional teams to manage external suppliers, costs, lead times, and planning strategies. You will leverage your technical product knowledge and market expertise to stay updated on industry changes.
Main Responsibilities
* Utilize your extensive product knowledge to understand technical packs and cost sheets, sourcing the best materials within planned costs and diversifying sourcing strategies.
* Create and implement product sourcing strategies, identify new suppliers, and build strong relationships, negotiating costs, lead times, and planning to secure advantageous terms.
* Assess, manage, and mitigate risks in sourcing and procurement processes.
* Collaborate with R&D, purchasing, and technical teams to ensure clarity on product specifications.
* Review existing product styles with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility for bulk production.
* Participate in sample fittings with the industrialization team.
* Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmark market trends, and stay informed about industry drives.
Requisiti
* Minimum of 15 years’ experience in product development, sourcing, or procurement within the sportswear industry, with a strong understanding of technical products and sourcing processes.
* In-depth knowledge of technical products such as motorcycle gear, textiles, and production techniques.
* Experience in sourcing technical garments, developing supplier relationships, and handling complex negotiations across regions like the Far East, Asia, and the Mediterranean.
* Strong analytical skills, with experience managing costs and documentation.
* Willingness to travel for sourcing and sample development activities.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Fluency in English is mandatory.
* Previous team management experience is an asset.
