Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that adequate resources and capability (people and processes) reside within the business to deliver on the financial and non financial targets by managing business relationships with strategic customers / accounts (current customers and new prospects) especially strategic customers
Key Accountabilities
1. Deliver the agreed financial and non-financial targets in line with business budgets
2. Create and execute Account/Customer plans for Strategic Accounts aligned with Regional / Global Segment & Marketing plan if applicable
3. Presents value proposition in a suitable and successful way aligned with customer prioritization.
4. Develop relevant Commercial pipeline for respective accounts quantified within CRM
5. Utilizes full functionality of CRM, including pipeline maintenance, offer generation, customer records management.
6. Applies internal company rules connected with pricing and liability control by raising and files respective approvals.
7. Provides forecasting input to IBP for scope of account portfolio.
8. Liaises with COS and Technical Service to ensure service is provided in line with agreed customer terms.
9. Drive innovation through customers
10. Develop and maintain contact map within each account – at all reporting level and across all functions
11. Drive Continuous Improvement in Account Management across the organization to generate value to customers – Forecast, Service, capability, efficiency and Productivity
12. Collaborate with cross functional teams including relevant external/customer teams within key accounts to prioritize new developments, make plans for trials, etc.
13. Provide support to customer services and technical teams by showing vision, putting in resources to ensure high service levels and operational efficiency
14. Promote and drive new business projects with key accounts to grow sales and steer business / sales into our customers.
15. Nurture and grow sub suppliers of key accounts to grow business by gaining share of wallet in suppliers
16. Drive charging for services initiative to meet budget expectations
Job Requirements
Experience & Education
17. Knowledge & Work Experience – Paints and coatings industry, any B2B industry environment. 5-8 years of work experience in commercial roles, sales and key account management, sales to strategic accounts
18. Minimum Bachelor Degree in business management or related field
